We are a little over two months away from the end of the transition period. With less than 70 days to go #Brexit will happen.

Negotiations for a trade agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom are still going. As long as these negotiations are not concluded it isn’t clear what the full impact of Brexit is on supply chain and logistics operations that ship goods between the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Be Prepared, Whatever the Outcome

When the transitional period ends on December 31st, an implementation period will start in the UK, which means that import clearance will only be required from January 1st for controlled goods. From 1 April, the obligation to import veterinary and phytosanitary goods will begin. Regular goods will have to be cleared through customs from July 1st 2021. This transitional period gives UK businesses six months to adapt and prepare for new processes and regulations.

On the EU side, import and export requirements will start on January 1st 2021, so time to prepare will be short. Customs Support is ready to work with our customers to ensure that they are ready. We will inform you on how to prepare.

To help you prepare and make sure you are ready for Brexit we are organizing a webinar on October 28th.
